Street Lights

Last modified: November 17, 2006 - 10:09 AM

Council is responsible for the installation of new street lighting within the Great Lakes area, but does not maintain existing street lighting.

Maintenance of Existing Street Lights

Council is not responsible for the maintenance of existing street lights. If you have a faulty street light you need to contact Country Energy's Supply Interruption Group on 13 2080 or visit their web site at www.countryenergy.com.au for further information.  For general enquiries, contact Country Energy on 13 23 56.

Requests for Additional Street Lights

Council provides a limited budget for new street lighting each year. If you would like a new street light installed in your street, contact Council's Engineering Services Division in writing with specific information detailing where you want the light to be installed and why. All written submissions can be addressed to The General Manager, Great Lakes Council, PO Box 450, Forster, NSW, 2428.
