Development Control Plan (DCP) Review 2007
The DCP Review 2007 project is the next stage in Great Lakes Council's planning reform process and encompasses the following work: Stage 1:
Stage 2:
Stage 1 is well commenced and the draft DCPs produced were discussed at a Strategic Committee workshop between the consultants Urbis (formerly Rohan Dickson & Associates) and Councillors on 11 March 2008. The resolution at this meeting was for the draft DCPs to be deferred until such time as the Councillors had had an opportunity to review these documents in detail. Following the Councillors' review, these documents are to be amended and reconsidered at another Strategic Committee workshop. Great Lakes Council recently engaged Rohan Dickson & Associates (the ‘Consultant’) to undertake a Development Control Plan Review 2007 project which involves the review and preparation of several development control plans (DCPs) within the Great Lakes local government area.
In particular this review is aimed at addressing future growth in the areas of Seal Rocks Village, Pacific Palms, Stroud, Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest and the development of design and character controls for these towns and villages. The Project will also lead to the establishment of a DCP to govern Single Detached Dwelling development throughout the Great Lakes region. more ..
