Forster School of Arts

Located at West Street, Forster (entrance in Little Street, Forster) The facilities for this hall include seating for 200 people, kitchen facilities, car parking, disabled parking and bus access. For bookings telephone the Community Services Customer Service Officer on 02 6591 7298.

Restricted Use Guidelines
On 27 November 2007, Council resolved to allow continued limited use of the Forster School of Arts Hall.  This use will continue whilst community consultations and plan development for the Civic Precinct (encompassing the School of Arts, Visitors Information Centre, Neighbourhood Centre and CWA sites, plus reserve land between Little & Middle Streets and the old public school site on the corner of Lake, West and Middle Streets) are developed through the first half of 2008.

Council has adopted “Restricted Use Guidelines” to allow this halls' continued use.   These guidelines have been formulated to ensure public safety and include:

  • No use of the stage area.
  • Any point loads, eg stacked boxes, are not to exceed 150 kg.
  • Number of people in the room is limited to 40 at any one time.
  • Weddings and parties are not permitted.
