Wallis Lake Catchment Management Plan (WLCMP)

Last modified: June 2, 2009 - 2:44 PM

The Wallis Lake Catchment Management Plan (WLCMP) provides a detailed picture of the state of the Wallis Lake catchment.

Several issues were identified as major impacts on the catchment including clearing, weed invasion, inappropriate soil, riparian and landscape management and unsustainable land use.

The plan lists a range of actions to address catchment degradation and reverse environmental decline which are currently being addressed through the following projects:

  • WLCMP Devolved Grant Project
  • Wallis Lake Estuary Management Plan
  • Gravel Roads Best Practice Erosion Control
  • Lower Wallamba River: Rivercare Plan
  • Wallis Lake Wetland Management Strategy
  • Darawakh/Frogalla Wetland Management Plan

A brochure is available in the download section below as well as the executive summary.

If you would like a copy of the plan please contact Council and a CD-ROM will be sent to you.
