Environmental Special Rate (ESR)

This special rate was introduced to fund environmental projects/works throughout the region.

In 2001 the Great Lakes Community and State Government approved a rate increase of 3.89%. This has raised funds for environmental management and restoration. Initially awarded for a three (3) year period, the rate has since been extended for an additional five (5) years.
