Burials on Private Land

Council maintains a register of private burial ground. No area shall be used for private burials unless the written permission of Council has been obtained. The objective for Council is to protect public health.

A letter of application to have a grave on private property should be lodged with Council. A Fact Sheet on Burials on Private Land covers the following:-
