Composting and Worm Farming

Last modified: July 6, 2009 - 4:08 PM

Composting and Worm Farming are excellent ways of reducing waste and adding valuable nutrients to your garden. Compost Bins and Worm Farms are available at all Council offices at a discounted price.

Worms can be purchased from the following suppliers:

Tuncurry Worm Industries - Possum Brush Ph: 6554 3504

Upagumtreeworms - Bundabah Ph: 0429 037 565

Did you know that 50% of all domestic garbage is food and / or garden waste! This valuable resource could be turned into rich compost, which will reduce the amount of waste going to Landfill. Compost will also enrich your soil, provide nutrition for plants, flowers and vegetables and prevent moisture loss when used as surface mulch. For more information regarding Composting and Worm Farming, you can download the Fact Sheets below or visit the RELN website.

Worm Farms - $65.00

Compost Bins - $35.00

Compost Mate - $15.00
