Nabiac Community Technology Centre

Nabiac Community Technology Centre

Community Transaction Centres (CTC's)

Last modified: October 16, 2007 - 9:45 AM

There are 3 CTC's within the Great Lakes area. These are located in Nabiac, Bulahdelah and Tea Gardens.

What is a CTC?

A Community Technology Centre (CTC) is a public access facility in small rural NSW towns that provide local communities with computer and internet access, training, business and IT services as well as equipment and meeting room hire.

CTCs are managed and owned by the local community.

An elected committee, which is made up of local residents, runs the centres along with a manager.

Volunteers play a major part in the running of the centres by assisting the manager with training and manning the reception.

Other CTCs located in the Great Lakes area are:

Nabiac Community Technology Centre
Bulahdelah Community Technology Centre
Tea Gardens Community Technology Centre
