Great Lakes Neighbour Aid

A Home and Community Care Program funded by the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care under the auspices of Great Lakes Council, this is a community support program for:
- frail older people
- younger people with a disability
- the carers of both
What services are provided?
Great Lakes Neighbour Aid provides Social Support services in Forster-Tuncurry and surrounding areas within the Great Lakes Local Government Area. Our range of services includes:
- Shopping Assistance
- Supported Transport
- Security Phone Calls
- Social Visiting/Companionship
- Support for Carers
- Minor Home Maintenance
- Generalist Carers Support Group
- Dementia Carers Support Group
- Social Support through Group Outings
How is the service provided?
Great Lakes Neighbour Aid services are provided with the assistance of volunteers in the community. All volunteers are provided with training and support and are reimbursed for expenses.
