Sporting Fields

Last modified: June 26, 2009 - 2:48 PM

Great Lakes Council area offers a wide range of sporting options with facilities being available for football (soccer), rugby league, rugby union, touch football, netball, cricket, tennis and croquet.

There are 11 main sporting complexes.  Please refer below to the related facilities below to view what is available at each site.

How do I find out if a sporting field is open for use

When periods of rain occurs, it becomes necessary to close some sporting facilities. In the event of wet weather regular checks are carried out on fields to assess their playing condition. Council offers a Sports Field Hotline which has a recorded message relating to what fields are closed.

The HOTLINE NUMBER is: 6555 9200.

How can I have the lighting on a sports field fixed

If a floodlight is not working on a sporting field and requires attention, please contact Council's Customer Service Section and a service request will be created to have the lights fixed.

How do I make a booking for a sporting field

There are numerous sporting fields throughout the area.  Seasonal or casual bookings to use these fields can be made through Parks and Recreation Services.  To book a field please refer below.  Alternatively forms are available by contacting Council.
